Instrument Rental Return FAQ

Q: What is the procedure to return a rental instrument?

 

A: The first step is to contact us.  Call us at 860-283-9342  or send an email to info@langemusic.com  to make pickup arrangements.  Pickups can only be arranged at schools on our current delivery route.

Q: Will I be billed for the month if I return the instrument?

 

A: Any instrument received by us on or before the 15th of the month returned does not incur a fee for that month.  Any past due fees will still apply.

Q: Can I leave my instrument at the school?

 

A: You must contact us before leaving any instrument at school.  You will be directed as to the time, place, and teacher to return the instrument at school.  We will only pick up  the instrument if is where it is supposed to be left.  We cannot guarantee that you instrument will be received by us if it is not left in a specific area.  Also you must notify us.  Do not leave your instrument "at school" without informing us that you plan to do so.

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR COST OF THE INSTRUMENT if we do not receive it.

Q: Where do I leave my instrument?

 

A: If you have contacted us, you will be told exactly when, where and with the specific teacher the instrument must be given to.  NEVER leave an instrument in the regular classroom or a locker, assuming it will magically get to us.

Q: Can I return the instrument directly to the store?

 

A: This is the most secure place to return an instrument and the best way to be assured that we have received it.  You may also request a receipt as proof that we have the instrument.  Returns can be made anytime during regular business hours as found on our homepage.

Q: Can my rental credit be applied to another instrument if I rent again next year?

 

A: Returning an instrument completes your contract.  To maintain your rental credit you must continue to make monthly payments or take the purchase discount.  You may rent again in the Fall but it will be under a new contract and previous rental credit will not apply to a new contract.

Q: I want to keep my instrument. Can I purchase it? 

 

A: The option to purchase an instrument is always available.  Your account must be current to exercise this option.  Our standard discount is 30% off your current balance.  You may also purchase a different instrument from our inventory other than the one you are currently using. You may apply your rental credit to the list price of another instrument and still take a 30% discount off the new balance.
